Description
This Independence Day, I didn't want to make just another Happy Independence Day wallpaper. I wanted to show a different side of India , a country that dreams, builds, experiments and looks beyond Earth.
This wallpaper represents India's growing space ambitions: from Gaganyaan and human spaceflight to the planned Bharatiya Antariksh Station by 2035 and an Indian crewed Moon landing by 2040. Chandrayaan-4 is planned to demonstrate lunar sample return, while the Venus Orbiter Mission will take India's exploration beyond the Moon. India is also developing the Next Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV), designed for higher payload capacity, reusability and lower-cost access to space.
And this isn't only about exploration. India's space sector is becoming a larger industrial ecosystem, with hundreds of startups and a government target of growing the space economy toward $44 billion by 2033 and $100 billion by 2040.
The astronaut in this wallpaper represents the Indian human presence in space. The station represents our future home in orbit, while the Moon and Mars represent how far the Indian scientific imagination can reach.
For me, this is what Independence Day can also look like: not just remembering how India became independent, but imagining what an independent India can build next.

Wallpaper Customization Tips
This wallpaper looks best with a dark AMOLED setup, where the black background can blend naturally with the phone interface. Keep the lock-screen clock and icons minimal so the astronaut and space station remain the focus. A white clock works especially well, while saffron or green accent colors can subtly match the Indian identity of the artwork. If your launcher allows it, using monochrome icons will give the wallpaper a cleaner, more premium look without taking away from the futuristic composition. If your using it on home screen place the icons at the bottom of the wallpaper, we intentionally kept space for icons at the bottom of the wallpaper.
