This year, the temperature in my area touched around 46°C. Even stepping outside during the day felt exhausting. By 10 or 11 in the morning, the heat was already intense, and every small task outside felt like a challenge. Like many others, I was waiting for the monsoon to arrive and finally bring some relief.
I remember reading weather updates saying that the monsoon was expected to reach my region sometime between the first and second week of June. But as the days passed, the temperature was still above 40°C and the rains hadn't arrived yet. Instead, we got those typical end-of-summer evenings with strong winds, lightning, and dark clouds that looked promising but often disappeared without giving proper rain.
The worst part wasn't even the heat itself—it was the power cuts. During the last few days, strong winds caused trees and branches to fall on electric lines, leading to outages that sometimes lasted for most of the day. Anyone who has experienced a full day without electricity during a 45–46°C summer knows how difficult it can be. Fans stop, coolers stop, and suddenly even sitting quietly becomes uncomfortable.
During those days, I found myself constantly thinking about rain. I would play monsoon ambience videos, rain sounds, camping videos, and thunderstorms on YouTube—not because it changed the weather, but because it brought a little peace to the mind. Sometimes the body cannot escape the heat, but the mind can still find comfort.
That's exactly where the idea for this wallpaper came from.
